English
FAQ
KIT members who require proof of English language proficiency for a stay abroad can take the test with us. You can find all information regarding dates and registration in the following FAQs:
Who is this language test for?
The language test is primarily aimed at KIT students and staff who require current certification of their English skills for one of the following reasons:
- Study abroad or exchange semesters (e.g., Erasmus, DAAD)
- Internships abroad (including visa requirements)
- Applications for degree programs (e.g., Master's programs) at other universities
- Research stays and scholarships
- Various professional development programs
Please note: This is NOT the placement test for English courses!
I have already completed an English course or test. Do I still need to take the language test?
Students who require a completed DAAD form, proof for a visa, or similar documentation must take the test to assess their current language level. Completing a course or providing a high school diploma (Abitur) is not sufficient for this purpose.
Students who only need to prove that they have successfully completed an English course at the Language Center should use their transcript of records from the Campus Management System.
