Language test for DAAD and other scholarship holders such as Erasmus (before a semester abroad in France)

Registration / Info

By e-mail at least two weeks before the desired date.

Certified levels: B1, B2 and C1.

(Or: If you have successfully completed a French course at the KIT Language Center in the last 12 months, use your "Transcript of Records" if you need to prove that you have successfully completed a French course at the Language Center).

Language certificate

The exam (levels B1, B2 and C1) should be taken with the head of the French department.

The examination fee is 35 euros. The fee should be paid before the exam:

Test description

The test consists of 2 parts:

  • Oral exam (15 min.): in the style of a job interview
  • Written exam (60 min.): summary of a press article and statement.

Preparation

French courses at the Language Center.

Reading of the current French press (e.g. Écoute, Revue de la presse)

and

refresh your grammar knowledge (e.g. using the book: La grammaire du français en 40 leçons et 201 activités, niveau B1, 2014, Klett Verlag, Stuttgart, ISBN 978-3-12-529327-4 (solutions via http://espacevirtuel.emdl.fr).
